Dustin' off the ol' machine

I pulled out and dusted off my sewing machine today. I wanted to dabble in making appliques. I've decided that they're not too hard to make and apply but finishing the edges isn't easy.

Chicken Taco Mixture

Chicken Taco Mixture
6-8 Chicken Tenders
1 7oz can chopped green chilies
1/2 Onion - chopped
1 can diced tomatoes - drained
1 can beans of choice - drained
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
1/2 c water

Combine ingredients in a crockpot. Cook low 6 hrs. Shred chicken when fully cooked. Salt and pepper to taste. Spoon a big glob onto a tortilla top with cheese, lettuce, guacamole, salsa and sour cream.

Sunburst Cake

I wanted to make Pig Lickin' Good Cake for Easter but I didn't have all the ingredients so I changed the recipe and named it Sunburst Cake.

Sunburst Cake

1 Lemon cake mix

1/4 cup sugar

4 eggs

3/4 cup oil

1-10 oz. can of mandarin oranges with juice

Combine all ingredients.

Pour into 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until done. Let cool and top with frosting.

Frosting:

Fresh whipped cream

Top with strawberry
